[PROBLEM]
We are developers of a document delivery product that includes faxing and emailing methods. Our customers almost exclusively print on HP LaserJet printers. Our customers must be able to quickly send documents that will look exactly like they would normally print. Speed off the client desktop and image accuracy are big issues.
[SOLUTION]
Design your software to capture delivery jobs as PCL files using the same type of print driver that is used for normal LaserJet printing. Then send the PCL file off of the desktop over to the server for conversion using JetPCL. Speed off of the desktop is fast and document images will look exactly like they would when printed because both printing and sending are using the same PCL language commands to describe the page. When possible, special print driver settings will also insure that printer resident fonts are used in the PCL documents. JetPCL can emulate these printer resident fonts quickly and accurately. These setting can also allow JetPCL to generate smaller files with searchable and selectable text when converting to PDF.
