We provide a Document Delivery service for businesses. We need to allow our customers to submit PCL print files for delivery via a web based interface. Documents are delivered as an email attachment. Our customers have business documents that use downloaded soft fonts as well as printer resident typefaces that need to be supported.
[SOLUTION]
Use JetPCL Service Provider to convert the PCL files into PDF files that can be attached to email or viewed using a Adobe Acrobat or any browser that includes an Acrobat plug-in. You can convert to 200 dpi images when file size is an issue or 300 dpi when quality is more important. You also have the option of producing native text PDF files whenever possible. These PDF files are smaller and require less bandwidth during delivery. JetPCL also supports 45 printer resident typefaces and all HP soft font formats.
